Introduction
After knowing the three main points what to do in Jakarta and Bandung which are the foods, sites and transportation in there. I am continuing my expedition to other cities! so that tourists have much more background knowledge when they are travelling to the cities in Indonesia. The city that i want to present is Jogjakarta. It is one of the popular city in Indonesia that has a lot of historical places, Moreover, it is located in East Java and it has the population of 3.627.962. Now, its time for you to know more about Jogjakarta!1. Foods
Gudeg
Gudeg is one of the most popular food in Indonesia, many people really like to eat this food because it is very delicious which everyone has a really high appetite to eat this food! It is made from young unripe jackfruit. In addition, it is mixed with palm sugar and coconut milk. After that, it can be mixed with boiled eggs and chicken. Don't forget to put rice in Gudeg to make it more delicious!
Bakpia Pathok
Bakpia Pathok is actually a really famous souvenir that the majority of the tourists would take away this foods to be eaten in their home country. It is influenced by chinese sweet roll. However, in Jogjakarta, the difference is the filling, some of them are chocolate, durian and cheese. In addition, Pathok is named after Pathok suburb in Jogjakarta.
Fried Grasshopper
Fried Grasshopper is a very unique food because not many people would want to try to eat insects which is Grasshopper, but in Jogjakarta, this food is really popular among the local and I'm not so sure that tourists would want to try to eat this food, however, many people said that fried grasshopper has a lot of nutritions and therefore it would make you become healthier once you eat it!
2. Sites
Hobbit House
Hobbit House is not only in New Zealand, Jogjakarta also have this place that really look alike the real Hobbit house scene in the movie! the ticket to get in this place is very cheap, it only cost $0.2 cents to enter this beautiful place!
In addition, this place has also other attractions such as flying fox and other photographic places. Many pre-wedding photos are taken in here also.
Candi Prambanan
Who does not know about Candi Prambanan? It is a very famous hindu temple alongside with Candi Borobudur which is also famous and it is near Jogjakarta. This place has been built in the 9th century. In the history perspective, it is dedicated to Trimurti which can be defined as the expression as the Creator, the Preserver and the Destroyer. But now, this is the place for tourism attraction only.Cable Cart at Timang Beach
Lastly, tourists will really like this place because they are testing their adrenaline to the limit! In addition, the sea that the visitors cross is really huge and very dangerous which if there are some technical issues it could cost their life!
3. Transportation
Since Jogjakarta is a quite small city, the transportation in here is not much compared to other big cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta and Surabaya.
Angkot
Angkot is a minivan that can contain 11 passengers plus 1 driver, its a very cheap transportation but they also have many pickpockets in Angkot as well.
The price of angkot is estimated to be : $ 0.3 dollars
Taxi is also a good transportation to travel inside Bandung. However, it is more expensive than angkot but you will get a/c and sometimes TV too.
The price of Taxi is estimated to be: $ 0.65 dollars up to $ 2 dollars
Becak
Becak is one of the oldest transportation that has been used for about 69 years after the independence of Indonesia. It is pulled by a person on foot by pedaling.
The price of Becak is estimated to be: $ 1 dollar
